Peru 64
Variety: Criollo and Trinitario
The cocoa used in Allegro’s Peruvian drinking chocolate comes from a co-op centralized in Tingo Maria located at the edge of the Peruvian Amazon and the Apurima Valley of South Peru. The cocoa grown in these regions has an upfront sweetness and hint of the bananas and orchids that grow in the area. This drinking chocolate is mild and light in color with a pleasing dry finish. Great with pretzels and salty snacks.

Costa Rica 64
Variety: Trinitario
The cocoa used in Allegro’s Costa Rican drinking chocolate comes from a certified organic farm located in the Caribbean lowlands 15 kilometers inland from shore. This is a classic rich dark-chocolate, slightly tart and fruity with subtle coffee notes throughout. With a beautiful warm, reddish color, this chocolate makes for a wonderfully rich midday treat.

Colombian 53
Variety: Trinitario and Criollo
The cocoa used in Allegro’s Colombian drinking chocolate is grown on the slopes of the Yariquies Mountains. The medium- to small-sized farms in this region support over 12,000 families. Our Colombian drinking chocolate is distinct and fruity (think Juicy Fruit gum, odd as it may sound) with notes of raw almonds, cinnamon and a hint of orange. Pairs delightfully with all pastries, especially those with raisins and nuts.
