 Roast Profile: Medium Roast Origin: The pacific Blue Batak is sourced from small producers belonging to the Batak culture in the famed Lintong coffee region of Northern Sumatra. This very specially prepared lot was first hand-sorted to select out only the rounded Peaberry beans from the normal flat beans and then carefully aged for two years until the typical blue-green color of the coffee mellowed to a deep reddish brown. This aging process transforms and concentrates the flavor components in the beans and once roasted produces a uniquely rustic taste profile. |
